This year the AEclipse Winter Symposium will take place on the 20th of January 2020 from 9:30 until 15:00.
The theme of this year’s Winter Symposium is Aid or Trade, with a special focus on ethical dilemmas that surface when trading with or proving aid to developing countries.
During the morning session our partner of the International Research Project (IRP) 2020, Resilience B.V., will host a workshop related to their work in Africa. Resilience B.V. is the implementing partner of the Dutch Government in several African countries, such as Rwanda, Kenya and Ethiopia. This workshop will provide an inside to the consultancy work of Resilience B.V. in Africa. Their trade programs aim to support sustainable and inclusive private sector development and attract Dutch companies to Rwanda. This Symposium provides an inside on our International Research Project to Rwanda. Therefore, if you are interested in applying to IRP 2020, we highly recommend you to join the Winter Symposium.
In the afternoon session several actors will present themselves, such as the Netherlands African Business Council, the Rwandan Embassy and Resilience B.V., followed by a debate where students are encouraged to participate.
